Carolina Association for Passenger Trains:
CAPT is an "independent organization of citizens dedicated to the improvement and expansion of passenger rail service."  They offer information on meetings, news reports, discussions lists, photos, and links on their organization's home page.  Find specific information using the “Railroad Search Engine.”

Charlotte/Douglas International Airport:
This is the municipal airport operated by the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, completed in 1936.  Visitors to the site can read about flight and airline information, parking, maps, and jobs. 

Highway Safety Directions:
Sponsored by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, this site features current and back issues of Directions, the newsletter of the Highway Safety Research Center.  Available issues date back to 1998.

This is the home page for the NC DOT.  The site is divided into twelve sections including news, construction projects, employee information, public information, online maps, and project planning.  The site also includes a simple search interface to assist users in finding specific content.

This is the homepage for the department which offers links to North Carolina travel information, current projects, construction standards, and the latest DOT news.

On this site, users can review flight information, book ground transportation, review business opportunities, and check out other services offered by the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
