National Climatic Data Center:
The NCDC's site is the home of the world’s largest archive of climate data.  Users can choose from land based, upper air, marine, or satellite data.  One can also learn about climate by using the paleoclimatology section or weather/climate, events, information, and assessments. The center is a division of the NOAA.

National Hurricane Center:
This is the home page of the National Hurricane Center, which is part of the National Weather Service.  Visitors to the site can view reports and forecasts for current tropical weather events.  There are also sections for hurricane preparedness, histories, and instructional sources.

National Weather Service Forecast Office -- Wilmington, NC:
Here users can locate a coastal forecast by city, or look for current coastal hazards and conditions.   A color-coordinated map is provided with specific weather conditions for Wilmington and surrounding areas.

National Weather Service Marine & Coastal Weather Service:
Learn about current weather conditions and review weather forecasts for you area by state or city on this site.  A map of the United States shows current weather conditions nation-wide.  Users can click on regions of the map for more detailed information. This site is maintained by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

NOAA News:
From this site, users can view weather observations from throughout North Carolina. This site contains hourly reports, public information, hydro and aviation reports, and warnings and advisories.  Users can view weather by satellite or radar.  This site is provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Interactive Weather Information Network.

State Climate Office of North Carolina:
Located on the campus of North Carolina State University, the SCO is actively involved in all aspects of climate research, education, and extension services.  It is the primary source for state weather and climate information. The site boasts climate observations and resources focusing on all aspects of climate research, reports, and education.
