Federal Public Access Policy Compliance: Getting Started with SciENcv

What is SciENcv?

Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae (SciENcv) is an online tool researchers can use to create and maintain their biographical sketches, which are often required for grant applications and progress reports. Developed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in collaboration with other federal agencies, SciENcv allows users to easily generate Biosketches in various formats, such as PDF, MS Word, and XML, and ensures that the information complies with the specific requirements of different funding agencies.

SciENcv integrates with other systems like ORCID and eRA Commons, allowing researchers to import their existing data, thereby reducing the need for manual data entry. This tool is designed to streamline the process of maintaining and sharing professional information, making it easier for researchers to focus on their scientific work.
