Dynamedex: Dynamedex Training

When searching DynaMedex, you have the ability to view a result list of topics and drug monographs related to your search terms or go directly to a specific topic when one matches your terms.

Browse topics by specialty from anywhere in DynaMedex by using the Specialties link available on the Home screen or from the menu in the upper-left of any other screen.

When using DynaMedex, you can use natural language queries in Micromedex Assistant to find drug and allergy interactions.

The Drugs A-Z browse feature allows you to browse Micromedex® drug monographs alphabetically. While browsing, you can also narrow the alphabetical list to more specific monographs using the text field provided.

DynaMed and DynaMedex include interactive calculators, equations and decision trees that allow you to enter values in commonly used formulas to obtain numerical data, such as urinary protein excretion estimation or estimate the severity of community acquired pneumonia in a given patient based upon the presence or absence of major risk factors.

When viewing drug monographs in DynaMedex, you have the option to view a Quick Answers version of the monograph or view the full In-Depth answers version.

Available on the Home screen, the Recent Alerts area displays the most recent updates to content in DynaMedex. In addition, when viewing all Recent Alerts, you can filter the list of alerts by category to find the most recently updated content you need.

When viewing a topic in DynaMedex, there are several options available to you.

The cite feature allows you to easily copy and paste citation information from a DynaMedex topic.

Following DynaMedex topics allows you to receive email notification when they have been updated. In addition, when signed in with your personal user account, your followed topics and alerts are displayed on the Home screen.

DynaMedex features the ability to email content using your desktop or mobile device email client.

The print feature in DynaMedex allows you to print selections from a topic or select to print the entire record.

If your institution subscribes to DynaMedex, you can claim your CME/CE/CPD/MOC credits/contact hours using the following steps.
