Early alert systems in higher education are tools that facilitate communication advocacy on campus. In the last ten years, early alert systems and their use in higher education have gained in popularity. Originally designed to provide grade performance feedback to students, platforms like Starfish, allow campus stakeholders to proactively identify students in academic need. Early alert systems help campuses provide targeted success services and assist in data-driven decision-making.
