Constructing a Citation

Here is how to format some of the most common types of citations in ASA Style.

Article

Author Last Name, First Name. Year. “Article Title in Title Caps and in Quotes.” Journal Title in Title Caps and Italicized Volume Number (Issue Number):page numbers of article. Retrieved September 20, 2013 (http://site.com/).

Author or Web Domain Owner (Date of publication). "Title of document." City, ST: Name of Publisher. Retrieved Month Day, Year (http://Web address).
