This guide is dedicated to the books, recordings, and many other materials found at Joyner Library's North Carolina Special Collections that express subjects focused on underrepresented/marginalized groups and are written by the authors who identify as that same group. This guide does not reflect the extensive research materials available for use. Rather, this guide is just an introduction to the manuscripts, written records, oral histories, interviews, papers, memoirs, and poems available in the North Carolina Collection.
