My name is Carrie Forbes and I am your liaison librarian for the RN to BSN program at ECU. I'm a medical librarian that works specifically with undergraduate nursing students. As a librarian, some things I am passionate about are reaching students exactly where they are in their educational journey, helping students be successful in the BSN program, and finding creative ways to teach distance education students.
I am also passionate about social justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and making all spaces welcoming and safe for ALL students. I have been married to my amazing partner Michael for over 16 years and we love animals. We currently have five cats and a dog. I love fiber arts like crochet and I love mending wool clothing and reselling them in my spare time.
I'm pretty much a nerdy librarian who loves cats, listening to audiobooks and Broadway musicals (Hello Lin Manuel Miranda, looking at you!), crocheting, and all kinds of coffee & tea!
