Below are some of the events that that the Laupus Library Diversity Committee has sponsored in the past:
Fall 2014 - "Native American Tribal Traditions" a brown bag lunch discussion with Jessica Bardill, PhD, Assistant Professional of Native American Literatures.
Spring 2015 - "Its Not Where You Come From" a discussion celebrating African American Heritage Month with Dr. Paul Cunningham.
Summer 2015 - "Ouch! That Stereotype Hurts" - a presentation co-sponsored by the Joyner Library Diversity Committee.
Spring 2017 - Staff trainings: "Microaggressions in the Workplace" & "Responsible, Who Me? - Title IX Presentation
Spring 2018, Spring 2019 - "The Spring Fling" - A Health Sciences Diversity & Information Fair, co-sponsored with the Sexual Gender Diversity Committee, with over a dozen vendors and diversity activities for the Health Sciences Campus.
Summer/Fall 2018, Summer/Fall 2019 - "Welcome Back Social" - An event to welcome Health Sciences Students back to campus for Fall. Co-sponsored with the Sexual Gender Diversity Committee, with a dozen vendors and fun events.
Fall 2019 - Native American Heritage Month - Lunch & Learn, A panel event with Dr. Ronny Bell, Alicia Hunt, and several Indigenous ECU students, we provided lunch for the first 25 attendees.
