How to Use This Guide

This guide by no means reflects the extensive research materials available for use, but instead gives a foundation to beginning historical and genealogical research. Researchers will find ways to access microfilm census data, regional newspaper indexes, county and state maps, church records, genealogy journals, and manuscript collections.

All materials can be found in Joyner Library's North Carolina Collection or electronically.
