ULAC is composed of the directors of the 17 University Libraries and a representative from the UNC System Office. The current Chair is Sarah Falls, University Librarian at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Chuck Thomas, Dean of Library Services at Western Carolina University, is Vice Chair/Chair Elect and Lucy B. Holman, University Librarian at University of North Carolina Wilmington, is Secretary. Anne Cooper Moore, Dean of Libraries at University of North Carolina Charlotte, was the immediate past Chair.
ULAC conducts virtual hour-long meetings regularly and meets in-person twice a year.
